Reaching the summit of Megali Tourla (1,935m)—the highest peak of Mount Parnon—is a once-in-a-lifetime hiking adventure for those who want to feel the power of the mountain and the thrill of conquering a peak.
The route starts from Vamvakou (or optionally from the mountain refuge) and passes through dense forests, subalpine landscapes, and a challenging final ascent with breathtaking views. Although demanding, the hike is accessible to participants in moderate to good physical condition. Along the way, hikers encounter changing vegetation zones, aromatic herbs, endemic wildflowers, and mountain birds.
The summit rewards adventurers with 360° panoramic views, stretching from Mount Taygetos to the Argolic Gulf.
